Arnold likes to go on right-wing talk radio and talk about how the Minutemen are doing a "terrific" job. Now he wants to do it and keep it from the public and the media. From the Chron Blog:
The Arnold camp has just made the unprecendented decision to change a longstanding policy of notifying reporters of the Schwarzengger interviews on the radio -- and they'll no longer be putting out transcripts of the governor's on-air comments.
[snip]
The reality: Campaign or not, he's a public figure, and he's on the public airwaves. Prior to this startling change, the governor's people appeared to side with the public's right to know about when their highest state official will be giving an interview. And they didn't appear nervous regarding publishing what he has said.
Isn't that just fantastic? What an honorable guy. I thought that he was going to blow up the boxes and be the people's governor.
For all of the bruhaha the press has made about Arnold taking unscripted questions they better report this one beyond this blog post. Arnold is starting to have the same attitude to the press that Bush does. They better not roll over like the White House Press Corps.
